Can a girl getting mad be a good thing?

Need some female insight.

There is a girl at work that I consider a very good friend. We talk all the time and know each other well. She is relaxed around me, but this also has made her open to expressing herself to me in ways she would never do to others at work. She gets agitated and angry at me -- sometimes very easily, like a hair trigger. My question is, is this ever a sign of a good thing? I thought I read somewhere that bringing out a girls emotions could be a sign of her being turned on, or at the very least keeps you in her mind.

Am I crazy? I'm hoping there is a silver lining here.
