In love, and contacted her by fb

For a year I have gone to this cafe were she works just to see her there and try to flirt. It's difficult when many customers og collegues around, and then try to talk som more like ask her out.
A new friend (girl) of mine suprisly told me she knew this girl and that this girl asked her about me, who I was and so on and said she liked me.
I then found her on fb and friend her, and she accepted quickely. Then I sent an message said I think she is cute and nice and asked her out. Got no answer, now its been 3 weeks.
I have this feeling this message was a disaster and could have giving the wrong impression like I'm just after getting in her... you know.

So I wonder what I can do to "fix" this? I'm feeling strongly for her and have done so for almost a year.

How about you go talk to her and ask her out, when you're in the cafe that you go to frequently, instead of being a pussy and asking her on facebook?
