I think I took a step in the wrong direction...

...ok so posted on this forum before about a situation of friends that became more than friends but then turned crap because of feelings... well trying to cut a long story kind of short I now need a bit of advice on the current situation...

..so after weeks of cancellations and excuses, sending messages to say I'm done yet he responds with not wanting to lose me as a friend I tell him to prove it by meeting me. Which surprise surprise he ends up cancelling that meeting again due to 'not feeling well'.

This guy needs some lessons in lying, don't think he learned when you play truant from school you don't go out. So he got caught out that he was actually out in the pub with mates not at home 'ill' at all. He decided that he would come clean and text me before I found out from someone else, he failed. He also thought it would be a good idea to end things through text... no way was I letting this happen! So surprised him with a little visit to the pub and telling him exactly what I thought of him and how he cant just get away with treating friends like s***. Dumped his stuff he left at mine in front of him and left.

So I felt AMAZING after doing this, I am not usually a confrontational person at all but to actually rip into him and let everything out felt so good after everything these past few months.

So then he starts texting me, wants to meet sort this out. I gave him one final chance to meet me and he did.

We talked for an hour or so and I said that I would consider being friends with him again as we had been friends for like 2 years previous to this whole thing and I don't like to leave things on bad terms.

Anyway he is going away for a few weeks, which is good, time to get over this thing. He has asked me to take him to the station tomorrow when he leaves. I said yes but I am thinking is this a bad decision? Should I have just said my bit and walked off never to speak to him again? I thought that talking things through would make me feel better and move on easier, I felt great after my rant but seeing him again has brought up those nice feelings I had about him.

So do I stick with yes I will take you, even though it's going to be hard for me? Or should I say get someone else to drop you?

Just tell him that you don't feel well and he'll have to find another ride.

This sounds like a friendship of convenience for this guy. What has he done for you to deserve you doing anything for him? Not much by the sounds of it.
