Concert Night

Butterflies,
Floating within my stomach.
Everytime I see you,
My heart, my feelings generally oppressed,
Have the need to let go of my soul.
Yet no one will ever know,
I keep these emotions within me,
In secret,
Until you let me know.
Whether you care or not.

It's concert night,
The day I have been waiting for,
The day I will be watching,
Intently within the crowd.
To see your hands,
Your magical fingers,
Dancing across the piano.
Like a million doves fluttering across the sky,
Fluently, Gracefully, Beautiful.

You meet me in the crowds,
Eyes shimmering,
Positively radiant,
With a big wide smile,
You come so close,
So very close,
Almost close enough to touch you,
Yet so far away.

Maybe one day again,
I will be able to see you play,
On that grand piano.
Again.
