Does this mean he wants to possibly get back together?

I've been dating this guy for 3 months. We recently decided to stop seeing each other because I want a relationship and he's so busy with work that he has a tendency to put his relationships last. (I'm 28, he's 25) However, he wants to remain in touch. I told him "Alright, let's just be friends." He says "Please don't ignore my phone calls and text messages from now on, I care about you and don't want you to disappear from my life."

I know its a silly question, but does this mean he hopes to possibly get back together again in the future?

Yeah, it's a silly question. Ignore his calls. Disappear from his life. Start seeing other guys.

Sounds like he just wants something to rub up against for when it's convenient for him.

You want a relationship and he's too busy to give you one... why would you keep in contact with someone you've only known for three months to be their "friend?" Surely you have enough actual friends that you don't need some guy that doesn't have time for you?

Yes, just long enough to do you again and then off to being too busy to be in a relationship once more. pfffft...
