Do guys go back to girls they used to date? If so, why?

Lets say you dated someone for a few months but were never exclusive. And you broke it off because one of you wasn't ready for a relationship.

Would the guy normally come back to the girl later in life? (I'm talking about a couple years later). If so, why do guys do this? Is it because they experienced other women and they just don't compare? Do they truly want to "work things out" this time? Or is it something else?

Has anyone ever been in a situation like this? If so, did it end up working out?

If someone stops seeing you its usually because there just not into you and its unlikely they will come back again. Unless you were together for a long time, split for a year and realized you will never be so happy again with someone else..

I think it happens. Some of the times it's because they are desperate to have something so they go for those they know with a certainty like or liked them in the past.

It hasn't happened to anyone I know. So, no, I can't say that guys 'normally' do it. Of course, a random person here and there may do it.

It can happen if he changed and is in a different phase of his life.

If both of you are truly destined for each other, the chances are then 100% that what you have started previously will have the chance to be continued. Normally for a guy if he already met the girl she wanted forever in his entire life he probably cherish it until the time he’s ready to pursue again. A guy can sense if the girl he is dating is not ready yet to go into a relationship
