Girlfriend doesnt want me to move close to her

Hello all,

Although I have been thinking about this a lot and getting advice from some friends, I would love if I still could get some advice from some other people.

I met my girlfriend in another city one year ago. At the beginning she was quite unsure about us, happening things like I never met her friends after a few months after we met, was on a "non-privileged" group on Facebook or she rejected to give me the hand in public. Time was passing by, and very slowly she was accepting those little things. She was moving out of the city (that was after 6 months we began to date), and I suggested her to move close to her. She was open to the idea, although she would like to stay with me a few weeks or suggesting I should visit her before in her home city. So both of those things happened, and afterwards I told her I was ready to move close to her (not necessarily the same city, but at least closer). At that time she was already in her home city, and she suddenly thought it was a very bad idea and a lot of sacrifice to her). So I decided to move closer, but still far away from her (around 400 miles).

We have been meeting since then, and most of the time she rejects to talk about her, desires, future or past relationships -she event gets angry with that-. Tired of the situation, I told her recently that she either tells me of her future plans with me, or there was no future on the relationship. She is coming to stay one month with me, and suggests me to meet 3 out of 4 weekends each month. Although being honest, I have lost a lot of energy with her.

How this story sounds to you?

It sounds like she does not want to commit to you and you are wasting your time.

3 of 4 days in 1 month being 400 miles away ? Doesn't seem like a good situation for you. Why is she being so distant about you moving closer? Wouldn't that help you and her with the relationship? Is she as serious about this and a future of being together.... You need to talk about it, before you try and relocate even closer.

Which steps would you expect from her if she really feels sorry about it, and would like to amend her previous behavior?

you were only together a month.. and the next time sex will prob be awkward coz you havnt seen each other for so long so dont get your hopes up

I just thought a BJ is part of it as well, and just the foreplay and right into action.

it is part of it but your relationship is a lot more complicated than mine so make sure your expectations are realistic

She might be afraid of the commitment and the relationship becoming more intense. You two need to talk about how you feel towards each other, about your current situation and listen to each other's concerns. Talking about the future is pointless if you can't figure out the present.
