I like one of my co-workers at work but I don't know how to approach her. Only time I'll see her is in the break room but shes always sitting with other people.
I feel like my workplace is a tough place to approach her.
What would you guys do in my situation?
Yeah, approaching her in front of co-workers sitting with her in the break room would be a tough audience. You need to encounter her somewhere other than the break room and engage in brief, friendly small talk. If she seems receptive, try to build upon that. Better yet, don't even try to date a co-worker and hit on women in normal social situations.
You never see her getting a coffee or at the watercooler? Have you got a mutual friend who can help you out?
I know some co-workers she talks with from her department but they're all gossipers and I will not trust them.
And I even know other coworkers who talks about the girl I like (they don't know I like her) and I'll hear them say "oh she's a cute girl" etc ..
I'm so confused right now.
I have a few questions.
Does she know who you are currently? I mean have you ever caught her eye, smiled at her, spoken to her at all?
I don't know what kind of workplace you're in. Are there other ways to communicate, like the phone, email etc? Does she have a pigeon hole or locker?
Is it possible to speak to her after work as she leaves? It's important not to get stalker-like about these things but you could consider leaving work at the same time as her. Don't start spying on her obviously.
Also, I know it's sometimes easier to say than do but really try and make sure you don't get too fixated on her. There are other women out there.
