Should I Talk To Her?

Hi, I have been going out with this girl for about 8 months and I love her more than I can say. Last week,however, she finished it and says she feels like we're not close anymore. It's not the first time we have dated though, but I really think she is the one for me. She wants to be 'just friends', and I want to be friends, but I know that all I'll ever want is to be back with her and that's not fair on her or me. I just want to ask what anyone thinks I should talk to her and try to keep the relationship going. I really don't know what to do. Thanks.

Uh, no. It's over. You can't be friends if you know you'll always want her back.

Nothing can stop man in love. Take her and you will be together forever. Theres no bigger strenght than power of love ! Go straight for what you want ! If you feel that shes the one its because she is.

From her point of view: trying to get her back would show that you don't respect her wants and needs. It shows that you care more about what you want than she wants.

My best advice is to go 'no contact'. It's possible that she may miss you and want you back. But if she doesn't want you back, it will set you up for getting over her more quickly. But most of all, do not be her 'friend'. All or nothing, mate.

My advice would be to back off, put some distance between yourselves.

As suggested, don't contact her. It might maker her miss you, and it will help you think about her less and less.

You're doing yourself no favours by actively 'trying' go get her back. This doesn't work very well. Leave her be and if it was meant to be she will come back to you.

Unfortunately relationships don't end and then automatically you two remain friends, not as simple as that.


So my advice is to go no contact for a good few weeks, maybe a few months. Make her miss you and help yourself move forward with your life.
Don't go chasing her. If she ever wants you back, this is the best way by letting her come to you.

Thanks for the advice. I want to stop talking to her but it is hard because we're still in school and we have the same friends. She is such a big part of my life that I don't want to just say 'I can't be your friend' etc... the a few months later talk to her when I feel like it... I just think that would be selfish and like I don't respect her.

I think you need to accept its over-go no contact and try to heal. You cannot be "friends" forget that idea

I agree with this. OP, if you don't want to be selfish..Don't have this whole thing revolve around your self.
