My partner has ended our relationship after over 6 years, it was my fault, another guy tried to kiss me and I didn't tell him. He found out by checking my texts. He has now said that he still loves me and wants to be friends. I feel way too emotional to even accommodate it right now, I love him and unsure what to do next. My life is in chaos, all my things are still there, please help me regain some focus!
It sounds very unreasonable for a man to finish a six years relationship just because another guy tried to kiss you. Unless there is more to the story with the other guy that you haven't shared here.
Anyway, try to be strong, don't do too much or anything complex today if you are having an emotional shock, try to rest. When you calm down a little bit, decide what you would like to do, maybe speak with him about what happened, tell him your side of the story, speak more about this on the forum, talk to your friends, family...The initial shock will go away and you will feel better and stronger.
Thank you, I did try to explain about what happened, but he just viewed it as an utter deception because I didn't tell him. I ended all contact with him today. said that I needed to move on. Thought it was for the best because my texts were way too over emotional. Of course it isn't what I want but I don't see what else I can do?
