I'm in love with someone and despite being able to exhibit confidence and charisma in conversation, I get cold feet when it comes to actually asking her out. It would be easy to give into the temptation to ask via private message through facebook but feel as if it would diminish my chances of a "yes" response.
When you see her, just ask (lightly): "Hey, do you wanna get some coffee?"
yes, that's a good approach. So is, "Hey, do you wanna go out for a drink?" It all depends on if you want to go to a café or a pub/bar
Actually, I'm not so sure PM on FB is necessarily so bad...it's how I landed myself a not-quite-a-date-but-could-lead-to-one!
Coffee isn't a date, so there should be no pressure to ask her to grab one and shoot the shit. Dinner and a movie is a date.
