So there is this girl I realized I kind of have a thing for, but have not really done anything about it. I found out that this is what she thinks of me.
"Sometimes people touch you, and you want them in your life for a long time. Relationships ruin that for me"
Is there any chance for something to happen, or should I "cut my loses"?
What was the question that made her give you that answer?
It wasn't question, more of a recollection of a night out. A whole bunch of work colleagues went out (we all work together in the same store), something happened which played on my mind for a bit. I mentioned it to the friend (she is my friend also), and she deduced that i liked the girl from the way I was talking. She asked if I liked that girl and I said yes.
On a side note, I did also find out that, she is not "wanting anything from work" and that, I'm the preferred one over all the others.
So basically, her friend told you that she isn't interested in you.
Seems a bit too deep to just be friends. Are you making yourself available too much and if you know, has she been in any previous relationship recently? Maybe she's not ready yet.
I'd say at the beginning we both were. Messaging,snap chatting and fb chatting everyday for 5-8 hours daily. Now it is not as much. It is an even split about who initiates contact. As for previous relationships, at the beginning of the year, she broke up after 4 years.
She is not interested.
She just got out of a four year relationship so she's probably not looking. My best advice be there but don't get so close that you hit level 99 friend zone.
I'm not making myself too available. I'm normally busy during the day, so I respond in the evenings around 11pm. Here is some further info/developments.
We get along very well with each other and have the same type of humour. For example today, she was telling me how she was treating her bikini line for ingrown hairs. She also got a little surprised and agitated, when she mistakenly thought I was leaving my job. The closest we have come to a date, was when we both decided to have dinner at a casino restaurant at 4.30am after a night of karaoke and clubbing.
I've been told that she does not "want anything" from work due to potential awkwardness. Further to this, I've found out that I'd be her no 1. choice .
At work she suggested that act /pretend to others that we are getting married. Also on a night out with work colleagues, she asked me to pretend to ne her husband/bf if anyone hit on her.
3. Because we have a similar style humour it is hard to tell if she is just being her self or stepping it up. Case in point:She came over to my place for the first time, she noticed how my dog was kicking when I was rubbing/scratching her belly, and she said " You sure know how to find your dogs g-spot".
4. The way she slept when we were crashing at a friends place.
