Hey Ya'll. I'm a 25yr old male and apparently I needed another forum to visit to help me avoid working all day. Although I have problems of my own (Regrettably ending a 4.5yr relationship), I'm really here to see if I can support others. From my own experience, it's not always easy to find someone willing to lend an ear and give feedback when it comes to relationships.

Hi, TAVS. The problem with giving advice is that no one really wants to take it. They mostly just come here to vent - not to actually DO anything about their problems. But welcome, and have fun.

Yeah, or they will only listen to what they want to hear.

"Yeah! I agree you should stay with your boyfriend who beats you and not only abuses you physically, but emotionally as well! I'm sure he'll completely change all this if you prove to him how much you love him!!"

While that's all true, it can be comforting to know someone is listening and the best way to do that is respond with something more than a "bummer." TAVS is just my initials.
