The Age Gap

Hey all,

Had a quick search but found nothing, but that may just be my lack of computer skills...

Brief & to the point, I am a 36 year old guy and have just started dating a 46 year old woman. We have lots in common and enjoy being in each others company.

I am slightly concerned about the 10 year gap as I haven't had one this large before, in my previous relationship I was 5 years older than her. Have any of you had experience of, or have a relationship with this gap?

Am not really thinking of the here and now but fearful (if that is the right word) about how things may change in the future as when I am 40 she will be 50 etc.

Dude, if the amount of sperm she has collected from her ex-boyfriends during 46 years of her life doesn't bother you, you are on the right track.

My parents are 10 years apart. I always date older. It would be strange to me for a man to be my age.

Yeah, when she hits menopause you won't have to worry about birth control anymore.

A ten year age gap would bother me but my opinion doesn't count. What matters is how you feel about it.

I don't think 10 years at your age is that big of an obstacle. You just started dating... go with it and see what happens.

This age gap is only a problem if you want to have kids.

I'm a 23 yr old female in a year long relationship with an energetic 36 yr old man. We have lots of fun together and have been living together for 6 months. He does not take care of me. We are equals. I wouldn't date a guy my age. I just don't like how they generally think and act. I like men around age 30. But made an exception for my bf because he looks and acts so young and we didn't know each other ages when we first started hanging out.
