does my EX want me back??
Just looking for some advice if you think my ex girlfriend wants me back... we broke up pretty recently. im 29. shes 25.
Relationship Overview:
-known eachother for 5 years
-dated pretty steadily for 2 years (semi long distance)
-got serious over the past year
-moved in together in October
-lived together for 3 months (before breakup)
-had plans to move to Florida together on New Years day and start a new life together
the relationship was amazing. we were like best friends and the sex was great. she never seemed unhappy (maybe a little bored at times). but we had good and exciting plans and she was even picking out baby names and stuff.
Breakup Overview:
-she started acting stressed 2 weeks before breakup
-we started arguing more than usual
-had one very bad fight and i acted like a HUGE jerk
-she went out drinking with her step sister
-came home the next day and dumped me (2 days before xmas)
-begged her to stay
-found out there was another guy trying to win her over
-she started hanging out with new guy
-i flipped out. we had one final huge fight and i moved out
-she moved into new guys apartment the day after i left!!!
-weve been broken up for about 2 months now
soooooo. yes, most people have called me crazy for wanting her back. she jumped right into another guys arms after all we've been through and all our plans which i know is messed up. but to me it seems like a rebound relationship to me. she got stressed about moving, the holidays, and work. also she had her evil step sister and friends telling her to get with this new guy because he has money. it was a spur of the moment decision. our relationshp got rocky, and he was just there to jump to. but i really believe in my heart none of this was ever supposed to happen. i acted like a jerk and pushed her away, but i love her so much and want her back. and i know she still loves me as weird as it sounds.
anyway. i decided i wanted to try to win her back fast before she had a chance to develop feelings for this guy. at first it almost seemed to be working. we hung out a few times and she was acting so in love with me like old times. we held hands and made out like puppy love. but then she started getting more distant, not wanting to hang out as much and when we did hang out the last time... it felt pretty awkward. i could tell she was trying to move on and not wanting to get back with me. so i decided to back off. feeling a million emotions, regret, depression, anger, love.. but i just kept them all inside and kept quiet. shes a big girl and can make her own decisions. so i decided to try to just forget about her as much as possible.
OK SO. if youre still reading. this is where it gets interesting.............
last week im laying in bed trying not to think of her... and i get a text out of the blue at 1:00AM "goodnight. i love you". i couldnt believe it!!! i was half asleep so i just replied "love you. miss you. goodnight".
the next night around 9:00pm i get another text "every song is making me think of you tonight".
THEN the night after that she sends me a picture... a picture of her crying!!! i was so caught off guard i didnt even respond.
so yes shes been the one texting me lately and sometimes they are pretty emotional things. so i thought it over and figured she was giving me signals that she wants me back. so i decided to invite her to come down and see me (1.5 hour drive). but she made up some lame excuse that her car has a cracked windshield and declined. i know a cracked windshield wouldnt stop her normally shes not the type to worry about stuff like that. so that was just a dumb excuse. so now im just confused. i dont want to drive to her because for one thing i think it makes me look weak like im chasing her, and also we dont really have anywhere to hang out in her area. shes living with some dumb guy and it angers me to think that we are in this situation especially if shes missing me because now it would be a million times harder to get back together.
so im confused. shes living with this guy. and yet now shes texting me that she loves me and other emotional things. does anyone know whats going on inside her head?? and how should i proceed from here? i want her back so bad. but i dont want to chase her or force her. my fairytale ending would be her realizing how much she misses and loves me and made a terrible mistake and driving to see me in the middle of the night and crying and begging me to take her back. that is obviously just a fantasy. but i want something similar to happen. idk. we belong together. i know it. this breakup was never meant to happen and i think shes realizing it too. but how can i turn her words into actions?
any advice?
