I think it is a little goofy that this is a thing these days. LOL! Though, when I first started reading your post, my thought was "Well... why wouldn't you have your girlfriend in your top three?"
However, the fact that she doesn't have you in her top 3 makes her sound pretty hypocritical. How can she get mad at you for not having her in yours when she doesn't have you in hers? The excuse can't just be "Well, you don't so I don't either." That is just immature. Either way, I don't really see why something like this matters.
Instead of making this a pissing contest with her why don't you just ask her what she would like you to do and you tell her what you'd like her to do with the chronological order of your contacts and then just do it. **** if you are at logger-heads over something to banal as this, then your relationship isn't going to last the length of time it takes you to move her up to No. 1 anyway so learn to compromise and acquiesce to one another and quit sweating the small stuff.Quote:

Michelle, I am right with you on that. Which is funny because I'm an IT guy. So you'd expect me to be all over the social media. Funny thing is, being such a tech guy sort of has the opposite effect on me. At the end of the day, sure I may do some YouTubing, and I tend to do some Facebooking, but beyond that I don't really want to bother. I don't need a Facebook and a Myspace and a Twitter and a SnapChat and an Alabaster Salamander, and a Cookie Monster Dance Party, and a Purple Flying Monkey.... okay some of those may have been made up. ;-) But, frankly, it is just too much to keep up with these days.

Back before MySpace got practically burried (Seriously, does anybody even use it anymore?), they had a top 3, or a top 10, or something like that. So, if SnapChat's top 3 thinger is anything like that, it was just the way you personally organized your list. It didn't necessarily mean anything (unless you personally ascribed meaning to it) it was just the people you happened to arrange to be specifically on the top of your list. But, basically I guess most people would sort of see it as "these are my best friends/the closest people to me, hence they are on the top of my list."

I think the point here is that you are in a relationship. Sometimes its not about who is right or who is wrong. Its about ensuring you both feel safe and loved and secure with no trust issues so if some stupid site is creating issues-then delete it and put your relationship first. All relationships need boundaries. Very few marriages last these days and that is because they dont have boundaries or stick to them. Chatting up other women via social networking sites is a deal breaker. If you wana do that then be single.. simple really
