Ridiculously in love with this girl and dont know what to do

Hi, this is going to be long but I need to get everything off of my chest as its killing me and I need some input or advice.

As the title says, I am head over heels in love with this girl. We have been close friends for the past year and hang out all the time. I asked her out not long ago to which she replied that she wasn't ready for a relationship and needed some time to be stabilise as she wasn't used to opening up to people and being put in a vulnerable position which I understood and respected. After that, we have remained close and if anything grown closer. We hang out all the time still but it pains me not being that step ahead with her. I love spending time and talking to her and any time I'm not I find really upsetting. I constantly look at her twitter feed and snap chat and it makes me happy when she updates her profile or messages me first.

I am really paranoid though. I am aware that she speak to other boys and she does it sometimes when we're even together. It may be nothing but it really plays on my feelings. I want to say something about it but I don't want to appear desperate or nosy. It may be nothing and they may just be friends but it really bugs me and I get really upset over the thought of her speaking to other boys. I always think about her and am thinking about what she is doing. I wake up thinking about her with this horrible feeling.

It has been over a month since I asked her out and she has now got a job and she acts like we are in a relationship sometimes. She tells me all of her problems and I help her out. Shes called me her 'boothang' which basically means 'really close friend, similar to being in a relationship but we're not.

I would appreciate any responses to my situation and thank any of you for taking the time to read this

Tell her you want a relationship with her of the romantic kind and if she still says she's not interested in being in a relationship then YOU MUST back off from being her male girlfriend, emotional tampon and go-to-guy while she finds someone she DOES want to be in a relationship with.

She knows how you feel about her so she's being VERY selfish to keep you strung along the way she has.

Back away and stop hanging with her. It's the only way you're going to get over her so that you can be open in mind and heart to find a girl that you can be both her boyfriend AND her Significant Other. Right now you're just her male GIRLFRIEND.

She's made it clear she doesn't want a relationship and she knows you are interested in her. So.. I think she keeps you around because you boost her ego, you are always available, and she does enjoy chatting and hanging out with you. I don't think its a good idea on your part to think and obsess over her all day everyday. Your training your brain to be obsessed with Her. Which could really hurt you in the end if you two never become a couple. Then you'll have to retrain your brain to not think of her all the time which is hard. So just be careful. Who knows what this girl wants. It sounds like she's saying one thing, and doing another. If I were u I would protect my feelings until she's available to date.

Thankyou for the replies so far. I feared as such. But, is it too soon to ask her out again? If so what should I say, I don't want to scare her off and ruin things completely between us? I have felt as though I should maybe give her some space but every time I think about her talking or being with another boy it hurts so much?

How do I get over her?

BY STOPPING HANGING OUT WITH HER and following her around like a faith Labrador retriever. Don't answer her texts immediately, don't run at her beck and call, get a new hobby or join a co-ed amateur sports team like baseball or volleyball and make new friends of the male kind while keeping the girls on those teams you meet as prospective partners of the romantic kind. If you're now kissing them (or more) then you're their male girlfriend.

Don't entertain her need for your attention if she's not going to let you be more then her emotional tampon. In time and space and keeping yourself busy with your new interests and friendships formed, you'll get over her.
