Help, Ex stil in my head.
Hey guys, it's been awhile since I've last posted but I wanted to share what's been going on the last two months and to get some input.
After ex dumped me 6.5 months ago from a five year relationship, I tried desperately to get her back. It wasn't another guy, or that I was a bad boyfriend. She needed me to move to where she was to have our relationship go forward to the next level. I dragged my feet to get to where she was because I had insecurity issues and was unsure about moving. Anyways, this has always been a theme in our relationship and she had enough.
After the breakup I went through the normal depression stage, the denial stage, then finally the accepting stage. The last stage took about four months to get to. I finally stopped calling her and forced myself to move on. Naturally what do you think happened? She started calling me. Not often but about once or twice every two weeks.
I took her calls each time but never initiated the calling. We would talk about stuff going on in our lives but nothing too personal and of course nothing about the past. This is how it's been for about two months.
I want to move on because I don't see her and I in a relationship again anytime soon or ever. I know that if I am to move on, I need to cut all contact with her. While I know that is the solution, at the same time, I don't want her to stop calling me. I guess because I want to know how she is doing because of course I still love her.
This post probably seems stupid but I don't know what to say to her if she calls again. How would you go about telling her to stop calling without sounding like an *******? I have an idea of how to phrase it but I would like some outside opinions.
