She needs some time

Hey everyone,

I have this girl in my class. I started talking a lot with her about a week ago. I think I like this girl about now.
We text and snapchat a lot. Everytime if i say something, she reacts immediately.
But last saturday, we hung out with some friends. And we kissed. Not just once, more like 8 times.
Right now it isn't really akward between us, but I heard from her friends that she needed time. I also heard that I had to show I really liked her.
I asked if we could go on a date, just asking what she would think of it. She kinda replied with: yeah, i guess. So not in the most exciting way...
I'm a bit confused now, should I back off and let her think? Or should I ask her what she's feeling?
