I am friends with this girl i like, but i never asked her out because right now we dont like have much time to hang out, so it would be quite awkward just to come out with it...
Now i know her best friend too, and i was wondering if it would be a good idea to ask her like best female friend to hook me up with her? like maybe like ask her friend to like talk to her about me or something...

I wouldn't ask her to hook you up, but I would think about talking about your feelings with her.

Yeah, don't have the girl hook you up. That's like sending out a memo letting everyone know you're a wuss. At the most, ask the friend if she has any idea as to whether or not this girl has any interest in you. But if you ask her out, make sure you do it yourself.

Her bestfriend??? You must be joking! She will just go off and tell her straight away, then she will know she has you and odds are won't go out with you. Besides if you try and do it through her best friend she will think you have no balls anyhow!
