please help need help with friendship what is going on?

okay it started friday when i saw my friend ,we had the same lunch together and i asked if we could play cards together and he said maybe and when lunch arrived we walk to lunch together and he was trying to get away from me and he said i forgot something and iwlll be right back and i said i want to play cards with you and he said yay i will be right back ,but i guess he let me come with him and then we arrived we played cards together and i won the game and he said good job. then after lunch ended we went back to class. i aksed if we could talk later and he said yay. when that happened it went good. now its monday and it went okay first when i saw him he smiled and said hi to me without looking at me ,just the ground ,i think he was trying to avoid me but not sure he said bye ,but i wanted to talk to me ,i walked to him to class and i aksed if we could talk later and he said yay, i tired to give him a hug but he would not give me a hug ,we usaly do hug. then later on i saw him and we were walking to the buses and he was talking to his other friend and just said hi to me and i asked if we could play cards again and he says maybe and then i just said i like playing that game. and then i tired to give hima hug and he will not give me one. i also said you are my friend and he said yay. not sure if he is my friend or not ,what do you think we are both males
