The interesting girl dilemma

So I met this girl about three months back at work. That day we talked and became good friends. A couple of days later I was ready to ask her out, when a close friend of mine told me that he had already been out on a couple of dates with her and was getting serious.

Being the supportive friend, I backed off and let him have his fun. However, very quickly I discovered myself in a strange situation. They used to talk about me regularly which I felt was a bit odd.

Well, about two months passed, and they broke up, because she met a guy better suited for her. She introduced me to him recently as 'the guy I told you about last night,' which again felt really odd.

So what's the deal with her, why does she keep talking about me.. haha

You said you are good friends with this girl, so I assume she talks about you to other people in your life, just like anyone else would. If you want to date her, why are you just friends with her?

Lol ,it sounds funny cause i kinda could relate to her actions hhhh ,i think she's using you as a competitive potential bf ,she thinks it makes her sound wanted and a bit hard-to-get to the guy she recently met. This could be just me ,i might be wrong ,but eitherway i think you should talk to her about it ,before it becomes simply unappropriate.

Good friends, but she doesn't meet me enough to be able to talk about me on a regular basis, plus last I spoke to her, she seemed to know more about me than I had told her.

Why don't I date her is because she jumped from one relationship to another. By the time I knew she had broken up with my friend she was already in a new relationship.

She is the type to play hard-to-get but her new bf is the son of a millionaire so I doubt he would care about competition really.
