Where to begin ... been with someone for 5 years ... they have continually hurt and let me down but i just cant seem to let go and break up. she says she cares about me and wants to be with me but her actions never show this. She never makes an effort, never makes me feel important or wanted and cant ever see this changing. I just feel down all the time, cant really on her for anything and she never really listens to me or understands what im saying. I just feel completely lost......
You are not lost babe, you are STUCK! Your heart is already broken... move on... get out of this toxic relationship. Take some time to heal and cry and be devastated, but then ... guess what? Hindsight eventually kicks in and you will see how much crap you put up with and for WHAT?? I hope you will put yourself first, break up with her, take some time to hurt and then heal (remember you are ALREADY hurting!) and then go out and get involved with some lucky person that will receive what you have to offer and will GIVE BACK to you as well!

You've been together 5 years and nothing has changed. Please don't go another 5 thinking they finally will. Hell, please don't go another 1. Believe me, I know how you feel. I've been there. I had to learn this the hard way, so I hope I can help you to not have to suffer the same fate....
You aren't clinging to HER.... you are clinging to the person you THOUGHT she was, and to the way that made you feel. She turned out to be a lie. You won't feel that again with her. The only way to reclaim that feeling is to find somebody who actually IS more like the things you THOUGHT you saw in her.
From the little you shared, she reminds me a lot of my ex. Take it from somebody who knows... there is about a 99.99999% chance that she will NEVER change. Your lover is supposed to be the one person who makes you feel GREAT. When your relationship brings you only misery.... really, what is the point of continuing that? Your gal should be the one who lifts you up when you are down.... not the one making it impossible for you to ever feel anything but down.
