Girlfriend just told me she has been on anti-depressants. WHAT ??!!!

So about 4 months into this thing, and with long term plans together, she just told me she has been on them for a year. She said she is beginning to taper herself off. So I am wondering what to do. First does this mean the meds have been keeping her emotions back? What happens when she is off?
I am head over heals, but I do not want to get hurt or more wrapped into someone who cannot feel the same for me due to meds. I just have no idea what to expect here. Can anyone give me insight based on your experiences?
