Stress can change the timing of your periods, so can illnesses like cold viruses. You are not concerned with pregnancy worries because you've told us you are waiting until marriage so are you worried it is medical? If it is delayed more than a week and you are always regular go to your gyno for a visit. Your period will arrive at some point you are too young for any menopause symptoms. Just carry tampons with you in your purse for when it shows up unexpectedly.
Yeah I am sure it is just delayed and will be coming soon haha.
Stress can definitely affect your cycle, as can a lack of proper nutrition, and even being around other women during their cycle can change yours. However, you should probably take a pregnancy test if your period doesn't arrive within 1 week of the date it was expected to. Whether you go to your Dr., a walk-in clinic, or take an at-home pregnancy test, you should. I don't mean to strike fear in you, but if you are pregnant, it's best to find out as soon as possible so that you can decide what to do, IF it turns out that you are.
I have NEVER had sex. So how can I be pregnant?
You didn't state that in your original post. If you've never had sex, obviously you aren't pregnant then. So it's probably stress, or a hormone imbalance, or maybe something else. Like everyone else suggested, if it's more than 1 week late, you should get a check up by your doctor.
I am seeing my doctor next week, so we shall see what happens between then and now. Its the 10th of March today and no period yet.
Do you know when the first day of your last period was?
February 8th
So you're only two days behind of your regular schedule. I think when we are use to our period coming at the same time every month, when it's late even by a few days, we get stressed. If you are already stressed out, that may be why it's delayed, and then being stressed about not getting your period, will just add to it. Hopefully it comes soon, but you've already made an appt with a doctor, so all you can really do it wait and find out what the doctor says.
This doctor appointment isn't about my period, its just an annual physical exam thing haha. So I will let them know whats going on IF my period doesn't show up.
Have you gotten it yet? Mine is rarely ever on time, could be a week early, a week late and usually arrives when something important is happening for me.
Nope no period yet.
