I need some imput from some boys AND girls

Ok, so i have this boyfriend and weve been dating since september of 04. It seems like we now have this issue where he wants his space and i dont mind him having space with his friends. But, he wants every single weekend to spend with his buddies and as awesome as that may sound to him.. i want the weekends too!! He works all week and we still talk and hang out a lot during that time..and thats really great, but theres MORE to do on the weekend and for him to just give his friends that time and not me is unfair i think. So does anyone have any suggestions as to what i should do? i had the idea of maybe giving your friends everyother weekend.. but he didnt like that at all. Ughh! :upset:

1. Hang out with him less on the weekdays and more on the weekends.
2. Hang out with your girlfriends on the weekend and ignore the hell out of him!!! (that will drive him nuts)

Yes, i agree with you. I want my SO to spend time with me on the weekends too! (It's unfair for them to have fun without me!)

I wouldn't use sex. If he is unwilling to compromise, then you have more issues than just him wanting to hang out with friends. He should be able to have some time with his friends, but he should still make some time for you. I just go out with my bf and his friends, but not every guy likes that heh.

I think he SHOULD have some time to himself without you, and you should have some time to yourself, too. How else will you nurture other friendships if you invest ALL your time in him?

Why don't you cut down a bit during the week (so he doesn't begin to take you for granted) and only see him on Saturday nights, and you can both take Friday nights to spend with other people?

Bottom line though, is that compromise is everything, like someone already said. If he's not willing to compromise, then dump him, simple as that.

If I were you i'd be pissed. He should be spending time with you first, and then he should be trying to fit in his friends. Dont manipulate (with sex or anything else). I'd let him know how you feel about what he is doing. If he doesn't make arrangenets for you than I would make arrangements with someone else.
