This is actually interesting to me. I grew up in the Netherlands, where discussing your salary was a complete and total taboo. You never told someone how much you made, you never asked someone how much they made either.
But here in the US, people talk about their salary a lot. All the time in fact. In the US, I know to the dollar how much money each of my friends make, in Holland I don't have any idea, I could only guess how much my friends make - and these friends are the exact same age group as my American friends.
So, I wanted to ask you guys: do you think it is okay to tell someone your salary, or ask them about theirs? Do you think its normal to share your salary info with friends, or coworkers?
