Got to hug my grandma and tell her I love her for what may be the last time, or at least the last time she'll recognize me and understand.
I got a call at work on Saturday morning from my mom saying I should be on stand by to drive home as my grandma wasn't doing so hot. My mom never gets shook much, I guess working in the ER she knows when to worry and when its going to be ok so when she said to be prepared I got worried. Then last night my dad called and said it seemed like maybe my grandma had had a stroke, within 24 hours she'd lost movement in her left side and was unable to walk and to be home Sunday morning as she was bad. I got home at 11 am this morning and they'd just diagnosed her with end stage brain cancer. Very tough day. She did recognize me and can hold a gaze, her eyes are so bright but she's so weak and is only awake for brief periods of time. She can only whisper stuff and is in pain. Its hard to say how long she has or where exactly it metasticized (sp?) from exactly. She'd had breast cancer many years ago and they feel maybe thats where it came from. What a long day. I'm glad I got to see her and have her recognize me though, lord knows how long that will last.
I enjoyed getting my performance evaluation today... it was very nice! And, I got a raise. :)
I finally finished my reading of course material for this week.
I really enjoyed getting off of work last night. ALL of my patients were heavy, and all had major issues. I spent most of the day being scared. I enjoyed turning them over (alive) to a new nurse. :)
And right now, I am enjoying having my coffee while everyone else is asleep. This is my favorite part of the day.
I enjoyed all the nice people who have helped me.
Thanks to them, I have 4 outfits for work (really nice too), a desk, food when I was hungry, counseling, group, working on job skills, college, having female role models (something absent in my life), straightening out most of the entanglements I caused, straightening out the entanglements my mom and ex-husband caused, and pleasant acquaintances that might become real friendships.
I don't expect everything to always work out or be good, but I have more of an inclination to look for the good... and to genuinely appreciate it.
Easter candy season. Loves me some PEEPS and those chocolate Cadbury eggs with the shells on them, not the kind with the goo so much the all chocolate kind.
Baked beans, chilly sauce and cheese.
Where's the weiner? You need a weiner with that combo.Quote:

My kid's a capella group is auditioning for America's Got Talent tomorrow. :D
They've got talent, but it's more comical than musical. Still, it will be a fun memory for him, and it's flattering that they were scouted out for the audition.
I said already on fb, post a video on YT! And of course, it's freaking great :)
I really enjoyed LF today.:D
