On the flipside, he couldn't afford going to college, so he's been a working man all his life. He had some credit issues in the past, but his credit is really good now.
He's just the type that tries to make you see the bad side of things, no matter what it is. Hell, you'd think he was trying to talk me out of living out here too by what "advice" he was giving me before the trip.
That's probably where I get my "expect the worst", mentality.
Sounds like my mom, who talked me out of taking a college scholarship when I was 18.
