Me, too. I'd rather be working than be bored to death.Quote:

I am never bored. There is no end of stuff to do at my house, and if I had the leisure, I'd love to spend a day pampering myself and reading a good book in a bubble bath.
That's what I want for my birthday. A day off.
Im thinking i might go out tomorrow and by my son a bed....eeek, that scares the crap out of me- thinking of him in a bed rather than cot- the thought of him wandering around during the night if i dont wake up :S but he really is gettin too big for his cot now.
Its the weekend so its 5 o'clock some where :) Going to grab some beers and lay out beside the pool
My friends have a son who isn't autistic but has other mental problems and the had basically a very large crib built for him. It cost them more than a bed to have a carpenter come in and hand build it but it does keep him from getting up and wandering the house.Quote:

They tried putting him in a bed to begin with but he managed to get out of the house one night and walked down the block....I'm not trying to scare you, you I know as a parent you'll worry about everything but I thought the idea might help you.
Hey, only just seen this.Quote:

I kinda thought about this idea, but ruled it out. I dont have the worry about him getting out of the house as that just isnt possible, but it was what he could do around the house if i didnt hear him and wake up. I bought him a bed- just waiting on its delivery, and im also havin an extra secure gate fitted to the outside of his bedroom door frame. Im lucky as he does normally sleep very well (quite uncommon in autistic children, so im led to believe)
I'm not entirely sure what the exact condition my friends son has. I know he isn't autistic....I do understand. I hope everything works out for you and I really do admire you. Its hard enough to raise a child let alone a child who needs more consideration in approaching everyday things.Quote:

I'm sure everything will be fine.
Not the weekend but I'm off tomorrow...I'm gonna go see Norma Jean, Everytime I Die, and Cancer Bats...not really sure about Cancer Bats but I'm pumped about the other two.
I had yesterday off and we visited Minnehaha Falls, had to put a kabosh on the Gooseberry Falls trip due to the marathon in Duluth. It worked out fantastic though.
Have to work til noon today. Taking the girls summer clothes shopping afterwards. Maybe making tacos for dinner.
Tomorrow may be rough, its Father's Day and my bf has to send off his girls to their moms for the summer. We will have a nice brunch and do his presents beforehand.
Making cajun chicken pasta for dinner tonight. Beers on the deck afterward.
Sleeping in tomorrow followed by the Farmers Market in downtown St Paul. Can't wait.
Having pho tomorrow night with some friends. Maybe going to see "Grown Up's" as a matinee.
Ladie's Night Out!! (big deal for me, I've got a 5 month old baby. lol)
I'm going to Dremel out some blue grout that didn't really work out in one of my bathrooms (it was an experiment) and re-do it.
Gettin' laid..again :P
Apart from that I'm meeting a friend for catch up over lunch tomorrow and going to an engagement party tomorrow night, followed by a wedding on sunday.
I have all Friday off, after my interview headed north to the cabin on Friday afternoon with my bf. Bong.
Friday night doing shoot the minnow. If you get down the minnow you win a t-shirt. I need to practice swallowing large vitamins.
Saturday is my bday and we'll be fishing and going to dinner at my favorite lakeside hole in the wall, Chet's Chicken Shack. Then going out on the "town" for some drinks. Will spend some time earlier in the day with my grandpa and my niece, nephew, and parents.
