Get him something simple related to his likes and interests. But nothing overly flashy or expensive. For example, if he is a huge fan of a particular sports team, get him a team-specific pen or deck of cards or something like that. It shows that you listen to him and care enough to get him something you think he would like without letting the cat out of the bag regarding your interest in him.
