aww thanks you. i mainly enjoyed how it did not try to glorify death, i found it an extremely gratifying experience. for me, i think it stood heads and shoulders above other war filmsQuote:

v for vendetta was a nice film, but i prefer nineteen-eighty four, that is a truly bleak view for the future
Scarface. It's the only movie that ever made me tear up.
Remember when Tony came back to see his little sister and mother, and his mother disowned him because of his lifestyle? So sad! :(
I also liked "Glory" as far as war films go. I like actual hero stories every now and then. Too much realism gets to be depressing.Quote:

And of course, there is Spartacus...
My 9th grade civics teacher was in GloryQuote:

Really? Do you know which character? Or maybe an extra?
He was an extra. He worked as part of a horse stunt team. He was in all sorts of movies; he had these pictures of him with Morgan Freeman and Matt Damon. He used to show us all these clips where you''d see him in the backround for like 4 seconds.
That sounds like a fun class. The movie industry is a great place to work (if you can get work, that is). I used to work for a pyrotechnic guy, and I worked as his assistant on two movies when I wasn't running his office. Those were fun times.

I've seen that movie, Kiechi. It was good. I haven't liked Roberto Begnini's other work, though. I think he reminds me too much of Jerry Lewis. I don't know what the Frech love about him... I always found him annoying.
These are the movies I have recently rented, in case you are interested. Both were excellent:
The Last King of Scotland
Deliver Us From Evil (EXTREMELY disturbing)
I'm going to watch in the next few days:
Letters from Iwo Jima
An Inconvenient Truth
Omg......gladiator!!!!!!!! The Best Film Ever.
maximus decimus beridus..captain of the armies of the north..father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife. i wll get my vengece.
that is the best film ever. if you haven't seen it..watch it!
I like a lot of movies. I will even watch a "chick flick" as some would call them.
Current movies that come to mind -
Big Fish
Braveheart
Road to Perdition
There are lots more but I just came out of my movie drawer earlier and those come to mind at the moment.
Meet the Parents, Dodgeball, Bowfinger are all funny movies.
