My husband gets his hair cut about every month & a half. Every couple weeks is too much. Not to mention costly.

tell him you'll get a boob job and lyposuction if he cuts his hair.

It sounds to me like he's little more than your project.

Especially as you repeatedly referred to him as "dork".

You have little respect for him, and are obviously trying to manipulate him to doing what you want. Ever heard of guilt tripping?

On a side note, I totally primp for my girlfriend. Not all the time, but just enough that when she sees me, she wants to rip my pants off.

First off, to counter what most here are saying, I GET MY HAIR CUT EVERY 2 WEEKS. Unless you shave your head or take a 1 or 2 to it each time you get it cut, it starts to look shitty after a few weeks. All my roomates do every 2 weeks or so as well.

I don't think your request is very bad. You're just asking him to get a haircut...However, it depends on how you ask him. It also depends on how his hair was when you started dating. Was it like this from the beginning? Or, was it tolerable and now he just doesn't get it cut enough and it looks like shit?

If it was like this from the beginning, his thinking would then be that you were accepting of it before, so why aren't you know. That means you're trying to change him and that's kind of shitty. It kind of sounds like you're treating him as a project...Changing the way he dresses, trying to change his appearance, etc. It doesn't sound like you really like him that much, and more like you're trying to turn him into something you will like.
