To tell the truth, I wouldn't be surprised - people do all kinds of things consciously/unconsciously to try and make themselves look better.

I would just say something like "you look just as beautiful as ever" and I would mean it cause (a) a bit of a belly isn't unattractive at all. What is unattractive is lots of fat, and a belly isn't lots of fat at all (b) curves are sexy. So if you tell him/show him I don't think he'd be upset at all as long as he isn't one of those ppl who put down their partners and are irritated all the time...

you are a healthy weight. However, the above is not true. You have a BMI of 21.5, which means, at 5'7", you could loose up to 20 pounds and still be in the healthy range. But, if you are happy the way you are and as you said you're eating healthy and exercising, I see no reason why you should bother loosing weight.

It'd be easy for me to say, ah, if your fiancé loves you, he'll also love your tummy. But I guess that'd still leave you with the niggling feeling of "will he really? or will he just kinda pretend to, or will he secretly be slightly disappointed?" and so on, and I don't really have the solution to that... there's only one way to find out.

Even though I understand the reason behind keeping this a secret, I still think that it was dishonest on Lucy's part to consciously keep this from her man. Maybe not a big one, but this is a kind of a trust issue. I think your man will be more displeased not with your stomach, but with the fact that you held something from him. A logical question pops up straight away "What else might she be hiding from me in the fuure? Can I trust this person? Will she be hiding something else from me that I might not like, but as a partner need to know about?"

So, stomach aside I think you should consider how you wil handle this trust aspect in your relationship. Regardless of what he thinks about your stomach, how will you make it up to him for the fact that you were being dishonest? What will you do for him to make sure he trusts you?
