I pity those married to young guys, what more could they do to make them happy? issues i 'd like to raise are bit insensitive to some, such as what if he looked for another younger lady for any reason like sex, children,..etc while his wife has reached menopause?
Good god, by the time his wife hits menopause, I am hoping a guy within 10 years of her age can recognize he probably is past his prime child-raising years, too. And btw - menopausal women have sex. The problem is that MANY men experience diminished sex drives after they hit 30, and they can't keep up with their wives. Why do you think viagra is so popular?
i dnt think so, man's prime is at 40 and the evidence is that problems in marriages always happen when the man reaches his 40s so she will be say 47! what happens then.. its hard and tough... what people say is another issue .. When they retire, oh she retires earlier , at that stage , she cant hide her age while he still at work.
Men's peak WORK performance is around 40 - not sexual performance. And the men who have mid life crises at that age do so because they are married - not because they are married to a woman a few years older. As for her retiring earlier, so what? Lots of women stay home their whole lives and raise children.
but when women work and retire it is clear they are older ... if their man was still working. my ex bf was 1 year younger as he said (dont believe him anymore as he appeared to be a LIAR) and i wish and dare say kill all LIARS, worst of all on this planet.. how on earth anyone cd live while lying to others so what about who he imagines he loves? bad really bad...Thanks i broke this relatiship and didnt happen to try to make a younger man happy!
I concur with what someone else has said; a few years is nothing. Even 7 years is nothing. Or even 10 years if he is mature enough.
It is a matter of a concept that man needs to look for a younger lady rather than his mum. that might be irritating to ladies married to younger men, not meant to be but trying to illustrate a point of view.
You have odd concepts running through your mind, clearskies.
i'd poke someone whose 7 years older than i am.

True. I think generally it doesn't happen because women mature faster than guys.. but I guess as you get older they catch up and the difference isn't so vast. But I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Well done to any woman who can get a man who's 7 years younger!Quote:

Usually women marry younger guys for their physical attraction
and not necessarily the personality that they bring with them.
If I was going to go after an older women, 2-4 years would be my max.
P.S. It all depends how mature the people
involved are and how financial stable they are.
Emotions can develop together, but a career is self-development.
Nothing against you clearskies.., but i've never.., (never) felt the urge.., to look at a younger woman I was dating.., and feel or think to myself.., "this is someone I can see myself getting married to one day".., it just wasn't there..Quote:

On the other hand.., it often comes up with older women.., sure.., the physical attraction might not be there.., but it's not like she's ugly.., she's just not that 20 year-old with the perfect body who wears skimpy clothes anymore.., fine.., but that's also ok.., it's not like "oh g-d no! she aged.., her body looks like crap! she has nothing of value she can offer me.., why am I still with this woman? I feel so trapped.., need to start looking somewhere else for sex!".., that's retarded.., and even insulting to think that men think that way.., we might make jokes about it.., but it's only to bother you.., it's not because we believe it..
"the truth is often comical.., but comedy is not always the truth"
Believe me clearskies.., it's not like you stumbled on some forum with strange men.., many men don't have a problem or any issue at all.., when it comes to dating or even marrying and starting a family with and older woman.., and as an older woman.., you shouldn't feel that you have nothing to offer this guy.., lest me remind you of the different life stages:

Mid-life:

He's not interested in you because of your looks.., they do matter so some degree.., if you were ugly and he couldn't even bear the thought of having sex with you with a heavy-duty construction bag over your face.., then he wouldn't be talking to you.., but he is! He could be talking to 18-24 year-old women which are far better looking (not to imply that you're not attractive too).., but he's not.., he chooses to not talk to these women.., and to talk to you instead.., and after seeing his motives and what's important to him.., just by his personal choice alone.., it would be silly to for a second think that he is interested in you for sex.., or that you can't satisfy him..
If you satisfy him intellectually.., if you stand by him.., motivate him.., support him.., are affectionate.., loving and caring.., then truth be told.., it really doesn't matter what you look like.., "I know.., you haven't been trained to think of men this way.., this is quite a shocker to hear".., but no matter how you look like.., no matter how hot that supermodel secretary his best friend has working for him is.., you are still going to be the only one he wants to have sex with.., and the only one he enjoys having sex with..
But sex is one of those urges he gets when he feels the other things first.., when he can look at you.., and just melt.., not because of how you look.., but because of who you are in his life.., the woman in his life.., his woman.., the one he loves.., the one who loves him with all her heart.., takes care of him.., is worried about him.., etc.. No matter how old.., he really will want to have sex with you..
The level of maturity it would take in someone to be able to offer him all this.., is not something than many younger women have.., your understanding and fluid communication.., that connection you can both share.., is something that younger women can't begin to match up to.., so don't even see them as competition.., they can only offer him what he's no longer that interested in.., he's more interested in what you have to offer him.., so let them run around and think they can take him from you by shaking their tail and trying to tease him with promises of sexual pleasure.., and just quietly laugh as one by one feels like an idiot..
But men.., just like women.., seek the same thing in a partner.., maturity.., maybe you can find it in someone younger.., or your own age.., sometimes you don't always find it in someone older.., but men are just as open to the idea of an older partner..
Best,
