well he helped me get out of a bad marriage. So theres a sense of loyalty. When i have talked about leaving he always says " how could you go after all i have done for you, and why cant you just forgive and forget". i think the whole relationship has me confused.
Also. My current situation makes it kind of hard to leave. I live with him. and REcently lost my job. It seems like when im getting stabilized and COULD make it on my own, something always happens to bring me down to a level where i need him. Is it possible hes doing this on purpose? I lost both my car and my job due to him, and come to think of it......i dont have many friends anymore.
um.....and i cant have a cell phone, because he says a land line is enough.
when we met all his friends told him to hold tight and keep an eye on me cuz it wouldnt last..what ever that means. Is he keeping me down purposely?

He seems to be doing everything he can to keep you dependent on him so you have to stay. When you finally get ready to leave, he tries to guilt you into staying. You aren't obligated to stay with this guy. He is most likely still doing what he's doing, he's just more careful about hiding it now.
Leave. It's the best option.
