The line if full of language ambiguity.
1) Why would a girl think you want to do her? She'd probably think you're either lame and unoriginal or want her not to be single anymore, but be paired up with you.
2) And what if she is NOT single, but still wants to shag you? ;)

I'm still gonna stick to my 1st post and conclude that there are no perfect pick up lines, and the best "line" is just what Mishanya typed "an intense, thought provoking and interesting conversation that goes for no less than two hours"

Considering that people know pretty much instantly if they are attracted to you or not, if it takes two hours to get a woman to agree to a date, I'd say your skills need polishing.

haha unless you mess up the pickup line and make yourself stupid. In those cases you just get laughed at. That was basicly what happened to me i think O.o I tried this one:

I was typing with her on msn, and wanted to meet her after school the following day. She had a pretty cute avatar on her msn, so i though, why not use that ? She is so damn cute herself, I knew, since we are in the same class, so maybe I could use the avatar to give her a compliment. So i wrote:
"That avatar is cute." But afterwards, i lost courage to write more, and she pretty much instantly realized what i had wanted to write =_= god that was embarasing. Pretty much the whole conversation was, and the following day were even worse >.<;; although it was kinda funny, and hey, even 2 years after we are still together, and I still love her just as much as I did back then ^^ So I am proof a pickup line CAN work lol >.<;; Though I doubt that would get you laid O.o

It's only a date in my mind, if you see each other in person alone, away from your friends and really get to know and enjoy each others company.

The point is that there is no need to use pick-up lines for anything but for a one-night-stand. If you want a serious relationship, then, in my opinion, you need to develop a friendship first and a relationship later.

My most long-lasting relationships didn't start after a week. I managed to get to know her as friends at least for a couple of months.
