You probably are in real life. When I meet new people and am dealing with strangers I am always polite because it makes everyones life easier

Some of the ppl I know who others think are "nice" are just confused about what the hell they want, so they just do what other ppl want. Which, of course, makes other ppl *think* they are nice . Its a stupid concept, if you ask me. :P
People have a weird concept of what a 'nice guy' is supposed to be. A nice guy isn't a doormat, or faking it, boring, or putting his own personal happiness at stake for someone else.
A nice guy is a respectful, decent guy who generally cares about the people around him. He's not perfect, but he generally hasn't/doesn't screw other people over, and takes responsibility for himself. He treats his partner as an equal and expects the same in return.
Well if the nice guy was gay I could see how he would treat his partner as an equal. But in a heterosexual relationship that is just silly

The definition of what a nice man and a nice woman is...and the definition of what the opposite of these two are ...both are very blurry to me. Every person not only is a different shade of each..they all believe each to be something else.
