I give You receipe for Kopytka(italians call it gnocci but kopytka has other shape than gnocci, that's why it calles kopytka from polish language "little hoofs") :P It tastes good, takes just 30 minutes to prepare it and You need just about 0.5 kg potatoes, some flour, one egg and some butter ;)
1. You cook potatoes, normally, like for a normal meal.
2.When potatoes are ok, You have to crumple them,so there won't be bigger pieces of potatoes, like for puree .
3.You add flour(dunno exactly how much,I do it always on eye),egg and You can add little bit of salt.
4.After You have to mash it up ,untill it will be one ,pretty hard piece.
5.You have to cut small piece and roll it , so You have long ,diam of two fingers, "belt" (sorry if it's not correct but I really can't get better translation to it)
6.Take a knife and smack it so it won't be round anymore, and cut it to pieces long as Your smallest finger.
7.Put the water (put some salt in it) on the burner and make it boiling.
8.When water will be ready put kopytka inside and cook it untill they start to "swim" instead of scuba diving(hahahahaha my night joke lol)
9.Put the butter on hot kopytka,so it can melt, put some salt too,and it's ready to eat ;) (I like it with green pesto sauce too :) I just told You the easiest and cheapest way )
I hope You did understand it,and when You try You will like it .Smacznego:)
PS. If You want some other polish receipes just ask :)
