God that whole stripper thing is just gross.
My friend ordered a male stripper for another friend's birthday once and when he showed up she was mortified because he was her cousin. He was mortified too and begged her not to tell his mom what he was doing for money.
Kinda killed the vibe.
I don't think this is about the stripper at all....that was just the catalyst being used to justify his cold feet.
How old are you both? Because I honestly consider the whole stripper thing to be a relatively juvenile activity... maybe you guys aren't old enough to be doing this?
God, at least someone agrees with me about the stripper garbage.
Why would anyone want a stipper before marriage? That's just stupid.
A stripper before marriage unfortunately is a big part of the western cultures. Quite a few people I know who got married did that, sometimes out of obligation to their friends. It's mind boggling how oblivious people are to amount of problems something like this can cause in their relationship.
Next time another friend of mine does a bachelor / hen's night stripper, I'm gonna redirect them to this thread.
I wonder how many of the couples who do this stripper thing on their "last night of freedom" end up cheating later, since they see their commitment as a trap.
This made me snort my coffee. LOL!Quote:

Well, at this point you should probably get some relationship counselling to improve your communication. You've both got issues in how you handled the situation.
Good luck.
Personally, I don't see how you can stop him from having a stripper, when you yourself had one. To me, that just doesn't seem fair, as I believe that two people in a relationship should be equal in everything. As Frasbee said, you should just let him have the party and not worry about.
Also, I think having a stripper at either party is just silly and slightly immature, and is only asking for trouble honestly. Just because it may be your 'last chance of freedom' does mean anything. You should both be able to trust each other and not have to worry about this. There could be heaps of other things that you do for the party, you don't 'have' to have a stripper (I guess it's probably different for you, because you've already had yours but anyways).
I hope that everything works out for the better for both of you.
Best wishes,

marriage is stupid anyway.
