How common is it for a girl to ask a guy out?

If I like a guy, I will let him know, I dont like the whole game playing thing. But saying that, I would much prefer a guy to ask me..but for some reason, that doesnt happen that often :(

It does not matter. Just go for it and I assure you, it will work wonderfully. :)

The thing I hate is when a woman walks up and says "do you want to buy me a drink"....you can tell who actually likes you and who just wants a free drink because I'll follow with "why don't we talk for awhile and then maybe I'll buy you a drink"...and even if it doesn't go well I'll still but her a drink because I'm a gentleman but I've also had women just leave when I say that...they just wanted a free drink.

Anyway, I asked a guy I liked to prom, it was hell getting the guts to do it, now I know how guys feel. Anyway my act of doing that confirmed to him that I liked him so he got the guts to ask me to be his girl and we dated for a few years. Another time I gave a guy I was crushing on my number but he never called :(
nowadays Ill give fat hits to guys that I like them but it will still be his job to make it 'official.'

if she's really interested in him, why not?

I'm a guy, and from my perspective it would be a lot.easier for a girl to ask me out than me asking them out. A lot of us get really nervous asking girls out, so sometimes it is better if a girl breaks the ice, especially if the guyvis shy.

I wish women were more assertive when I was in my 20's I don't think its so horrible for a woman to ask a guy out for a dinner or beer
