give it a bit more time, see how he reacts when he sees you in person. he may just be waiting for a chance to talk to you in person when he sees you, or its possible that he didnt read the card yet? either way, try it one more time, if he doesnt respond accordingly.. he probably have other things in mind that he cant pursue his feelings for you
let us know what happens OP. All companies are different regarding their policies...you'll just have to see what your company's rules are. And ignore that speaker spoke one--I'm sure we'd all be making a lot more $$ if we WERE office whores...
