How exactly does the media FORCE you to spend? Stop exaggerating. It's freaking annoying. Valentines cards available 2 weeks after christmas? So what? Were you FORCED to buy one? Gotta laugh, honestly.
OP, how about some PS3 game? It may not be special but I know lots of girls get a video game as a valentine gift.
i was actually thinking about that, i forgot what game he told me he wanted a month ago...dang. now i have to come up with a scheme for him to tell me lolQuote:

Actually ... I think that a guy would appreciate "no pressure." We always just assume its what girls what ... I personally appreciate any sentiment, but if you don't demand a lavish dinner and an overpriced bouquet, then you've scored points. Me and the wife are going to spend Valentine's Day, cooking prime rib, crab, and garlic noodles ... among other things.
To make a long story short, just spend some quality time and **** his brains out.
I haven't even given any thought to what he's gonna do for me, i'm not expecting anything. I'm not usually a fan of valentine's day anyway...but i mentioned we've been arguing and i want him to know that i love him no matter what. And since valentine's day is coming up..sort of convenient i guess.Quote:

Well another valentines spent without my bf . But I don't care actually. When I go to Spain ,we will do more romantic stuff than many "couples" that do something fancy on valentine's day do. Whether we go to a restaurant, I'll cook something, we go for a walk on the beach or we go to Barcelona or something , it's going to beat the stupid chocolate box in a heart form :P
Wiooooiaahhhhhh, who rattled your cage??Quote:

Read what I wrote DUMB ARSE and not what you want to see. Did I say I felt 'forced' to spend?
I said that I didn't like that it has become commercialised and used as yet another excuse to make money....
Does an opportunity to make money = people being forced to spend it?
Funny that you only crawl out of the woodwork once in a while and to pick fault with my posts innit....??
Pissed again on wine are you kiddo ??....LOLS
Or pissed off that Tescos didn't serve you with bottles of wine again - don't take it out on me! :D
Ya gotta laugh, honestly.
I may be too idealistic, but I still think it would be better to be "appreciative" every day and not just valentine's day in those long term relationships too...Quote:

Something people seem to not understand is that, it SHOULD be a priority to be appreciative and sweet to your partner on a regular basis, it's very important but valentine's day is a day for HEIGHTENED appreciation and sweetness, get it?
I can't be sweeter than I already am unless I bath in chocolate! :french:Quote:

Don't have kids or any other priorities, and maybe you will be able to have this.
Peace and quiet.Quote:
