There are certainly a lot of people getting grad degrees that shouldn't (not saying you Dopple). Actually, as a teacher, you are much better off getting a MA and not a PhD, which will overqualify youfor a number of jobs. You don't need a PhD to teach at a college, plenty of MA/MSc faculty.

I have a friend who did some sort of photography degree at uni and could'nt get a job in that field after graduation. Things like photo shop and other computer programmes, where you can "cut and shut" your own photos, really took the wind out of his sail IMO. I got myself a trade as a Plant Mechanic, and am employable in Hydro-electric power stations or coal/iron ore Mines and everything in between. Best thing I ever did especially financiallyQuote:
