haha, that's fine... just glad I could help!
Oh wait, I do have another question:
How do I know if my motherboard can handle DDR ram?
Im pretty sure I am using the old SD Ram, since it was most likely the cheapest.
But without having my MOBO's manual, is there any way I can tell? If it is using SDRAM does that mean it wont allow DDR?
Im considering just picking up some RAM for a quick boost until I can get the rest of the parts for something like this, but have always wondered about RAM upgrading.
Any way to tell?
The motherboard will usually spec what it has available (ex: 3x 184pin DDR slots). Your motherboard, I'm kinda iffy. The older p4's where a bit troublesome with that. I'm assuming your usings SD-RAM, and if they are SD-R slots, then no..DDR will not fit into it.
Sometimes if you look on the memory itself, somewhere it will say for example PC-133 (which is SD-R) or DDR PC-2100 or 266.
Also, I doubt you would really see any boost adding more memory to "your" system you have now, it'd be a waste of money to be honest.
Ok ill hold out then :)
