Talking Heads are one of my favorite artists! "Once in a Lifetime" is their opus.
Dinosaur Jr...J Mascis is totally hot. He can sure shred! I bet on Sky is a great Album. They keep getting better with age.Quote:

Yup; I have Architecture and Morality, pretty good album and Joy Division was awesome. There's only one Iggy Pop track I really liked, I have The Replacements' "Let It Be" which I really like considering I don't like that kind of music generally.Quote:

Pet Shop Boys are one of my favorites, and I dig Squeeze too.
I just acquired Huey Lewis and the News' "Sports" (friggin' awesome), XTC's "Skylarking", John Mellencamp's "Scarecrow", and Jackson Browne's "Lives in the Balance."
Anybody like Dire Straits? Unbelievable albums..
I liked Love Over Gold back in the day. Saw Dire Straits live once....had to have been the most boring concert ever. I was expecting magic, but I nodded off.
You like Mellencamp? How do you cope with the not infrequent inclusion of an acoustic guitar in his songs?
It was like that with Tom Petty too...Quote:

It all comes together on his albums so perfectly; he's Bruce Springsteen lite which is good because sometimes Boss' portraits of 'Murrican life are too depressing..Quote:

No way; Petty sucked live, too? You must have unfortunate timing in concert, because I've heard that Petty and the Heartbreakers are phenomenal (they also totally owned once on SNL, I heard).Quote:

Either of youse see Def Leppard live in their heyday? That would almost assuredly have been awesome..
So why do you insult guys who play acoustic which magic like this can be achieved?Quote:
