i'm a big fan of louis ck, and his show louie, too. i don't know what mdlny is?
I like the fake newscasts in his show too, lol, and his stand up portions in it and his relationship with the daughters.
MDLNY = Million Dollar Listing New York
i enjoy last comic standing, a few of them are really good comics, some have recycled routines and jokes it seems from other comics.
I like comedy shows only.Comedy Nights With kapil is the best show.
I agree on Louie, Games of Thrones too.
My brother watches that last comic show, Exeter. Do most of you watch shows online or on an actual tv?
don't know that show, rakulpreet, is it a sketch comedy show,or talk show?Quote:

for me it is 1/2 and 1/2. if i am home to catch it on tv i will but mostly any viewing i do is a day or so after it airs so online is how i view it, even though i still pay for full cable, which is stupid because i can catch 99% of everything online.Quote:

Any Fargo fans around? The film was great and the series is also :)
hatesthis is, check out her post #13 i think, she'd chat you up on that show. i saw it too after she gave the suggestion. it was well done, same as true detective was, imo.
hatethis thumbs up! True Detective was great expect the finale. Would like to say more, but I don't want to spoil, it's still worth watching.
you didn't like the finale paid it off the right way? i was hoping they would keep using the same team of actors in the next one, but i guess they are starting all over in season 2 of true detective, too bad.
Broke down and watched Orange Is The New Black cause everyone I know is talking about it, thought I'd give it a go and see what the big deal was.
Flash forward a week and 3 days later and I finished both seasons. Netflix will the be the death of my social life..
nico, i've never seen it, i know hatesthis enjoys it. i probably never checked it out because it is a female version of oz.
I thought the same thing that's why I was hesitant to watch, but one of my friends was over and she was all "just watch one episode" and then after that one finished I was like "maybe we could watch one more..." and then before I know it, almost two weeks have passed and I watched em all.
All the actors and actresses on the show are really talented and it's well written. Definitely worth a watch.
Plus Laura Prepon from That 70's Show is in it. And she's 20 million times hotter in this than she was as Donna. So that was a good incentive for me ha

I have been watching this drama and garbage. Its so addictive. I'll watch it all day long. Its not my damn drama or problem. Gotta love reality tv.
i liked her off the 70s show, are all the women lesbians in it, thought i heard that, not positive though. man, it got you hooked, i might take a look when the summer reruns hit and give the series a chance.Quote:

Not all of them but there's a few. They're all straight up ****ing crazy tho haha.
But yeah, put it on when you're bored. It's a decent way to waste your time..
Anyone watch House Rules, I love it :)

I hope either Lisa/Adam or Carole/Russell win.
i don't know that show, anya_may21. is it an aussie tv show? what is it about.
It's a home reno show/ contest. Where several sets of couples compete to reno each other homes and yards and the winner gets their home paid off.
that sounds like a good reality show if at the end your house gets paid off and with all those inside outside renovations i bet their homes selling price gets upped 100, 000.
i hope your favorite team wins.
Thanks, they both are doing well. It all depends on the two judges scores now.
Some of the homes were dumps to begin with so all teams win in this show because everyone gets a beautiful house reno for inside.
Selling Houses Australia is another good home reno show too.
i don't really watch any home improvement reality shows, maybe if i owned a house i might. did your team win?
there is a new show called the leftovers i might check out no idea if any good is about the rapture.
The two I liked most were in the Grand Final, the younger of the two teams won, I actually thought the older teams would take it.
But happy at the outcome.
good going for them, how young were they because i think you said they get their whole house payment or mortgage paid off, wonder how much their mortgage was, did it ever say? that would be a big deal if still in their 20s.
anyone watch the new halle berry- alien - space tv show? i did wasn't bad, flashbacks are interesting. all the big time movie stars are doing tv now.
I wanted to check that out but never got around to it. Is it a full series or just a mini series? I watched Rosemary's baby with Zoe Saldana tho and that was pretty cool. Wished it was more than just a min series...
Anbody see the previews for that new show Strain by Guillermo del Toro on FX? Dudes a mother****ing genius. Read all the books so stoked to watch the show. Hopefully it'll be decent. Think it starts this Sunday at 10pm if anyone wants to check it out..
Game of Thrones is the one true king (over all other series). But read the books, there is sooo much more, especially after the first season/book.
I would like to watch Halle Berry's ( I love her ) new TV series, can we get it over here, if not does anyone have a link online where to view it, please.
We haven't been watching any TV, saw some movies when away but was about it.
What is the Halle Berry one called and what is that one you mentioned, nico, about?
somehelp4me: Welcome back dude. How does it feel to be a married man?
The Strain is about a vampire virus trying to wipe out our existence. I know you're probably rolling your eyes because I mean ****..we really don't need another show about vampires but the books were unlike anything I had read before. So I'm hoping the show will stay true to a lot of it. I'll post a link to the teaser below for you to take a look.

I watched it ( The Strain), did you nico, we can discuss it in here if you want, good points and bad points of it, because it had both.
I haven't seen Halle berry's new show but will look it up and watch it online tonight. I'll let you know next time what I thought of that one too. I doubt she would do a tv show if it wasn't good. Same for Billy Bob and Matthew Mcconaughey and their tv dramas.
I saw another one a comedy I really liked, it was funny, sweet and different premise it was called Welcome To Sweden.
Okay I have to log off soon, so will leave my thoughts on that TV show now... First off the opening scenes on the plane were great and the opening of the hatch reveal (sort of ) was intense, I didn't like or care about that guys martial stuff, not needed was filler, could have done without it. I liked when they went on the plane to investigate, examining the lil girl ( sad) and others and when they found the coffin, also liked the old man, could have used more time on him and less on the other guys martial zzzzzz, thought it was stupid they brushed off the old man, and eww at the heart he had, whos heart was that? Liked the scene that guy saw the creature and it drained him dry and snapped his neck, that scene was scary shit, good tv, why'd he have to pound his head after, that was overkill to me, not needed, not like he sucked up the extra bld off the head smashing he scurried off. Liked Sean Astin in it. He should have more screen time, imo. Did not like the cheesiness of using Sweet caroline in the morgue, I felt it was the wrong song, unless they were looking for a goofy feel there, and the man in the morgue with the heart, gross stuff too, and when they all came alive at him seemed abit cheesy too, you think? I couldn't tell at the start if it is supposed to be funny like some other horror styled shows or not, because that morgue scene seemed out of place in the show. Overall I enjoyed it. Hope the creature can take on a more human form later.
Yeah hatesthis! We're like tv twinies over here haha. Agreed on pretty much everything you said. I get they had to explain Ephraim's problems with his marriage but it was sort of irrelevant to the episode. They could have worked that part later on in the story you know? Didn't too much care for one of the final scenes with the lil girl coming home. It was way creepier in the book the way they did it was kinda cheesy in my opinion. And yeah when "he" smashed that guys head in ,it was a little over done. Guess they were going for the hardcore shock factor it was unexpected and gross. Think i uttered the word jesus ha. Kinda liked it tho. Definitely shocked me. It's crazy what we can get away with on tv these days. Hoping it'll get better the more it progresses. I'd hate for it to start off decent and just go down hill from there. The previews for the following weeks look promising tho.
Thanks, nico - it's all good surprisingly, but we lived together long before we got married so we knew how to coexist =)Quote:

It's the baby on the way that is causing more issues, then the getting married and coming back to real life after a honeymoon.
So it's a vampire show. Hopefully nothing like the other two on air, True Blood and Vampire somethings.
I should check out the books. Thanks.
^ somehelp4me - It's gory if you like that kind of TV you'll probably enjoy it.
I watched Extant with Halle Berry I really liked it, you can feel for her and the son and some other characters, I don't like the husband much but the rest of the characters I do, he might grow on me later, lol. But I hope this is a series not a one off like the other shows starring movie stars recently.

I annoy people by asking question as I watch things, do you? Or I talk back to the tv, lol. But I liked it, looking forward to see where it goes, I never read the book or books? Idk so I am clueless to how it all turns out, is it being pretty true to what you read so far? I was impatient with the marriage stuff, wanted it to get to the horror-ish stuff. It's a totally different vampire show then the others so far, this creature has an alien like form, not a human one. I forgot about that lil girl and her daddy scene I thought she was to bite, turn him while she hugged him, but her heart is still probably pure and innocent, but she should be exactly like the morgue ones and want to feed, right? I thought when they were touching the inside of the coffin and the soil they didn't have protective gloves on, did they, that was silly, wouldn't something off that soil contaminate them too? Excited for ep. 2.
Forgot to include another comedy I saw called... Jennifer Falls. I like that one too, everyone in it is funny.
hatesthis: I always talk back to the tv. Definitely annoy some people but others find it entertaining ha. It has kept pretty true to the books so far. The part with the heart in the jar wasn't introduced that soon in the storyline but other than that it's been pretty spot on. If you have the time and like to read I'd definitely pick em up. It's a trilogy set. I think I read all 3 in two days. When I find a good book I just eat, breathe, and sleep that shit. I liked em so much I have em as ebooks and actual books. They're that good..
Still haven't caught that Halle Berry show. I know it's on demand. I might check it out later tonight..
Got Epi. 2 last night, did you? Guess that was the backstory episode, it seemed that way, far slower paced then the 1st show...and still why is Sean Astin being so under utilized in this show, he only puked and said a few lines this episode, geesh. So the beating heart is the old guys wifes? I really like that old mans character...not so much the other old mans who wants to use the creature to heal himself? Why did the creature have a form this time? and guess the lil girl didn't stay pure for long, I knew that bite was gonna happen, was obvious... why did they not track the 4th person left alive from the plane, notice that, only the pilot, woman and rocker... odd.
Did you like Halle Berry's show? I like it more than The Strain because you feel for the characters and I don't feel for any in The Strain, look forward to people being killed in it, lol.
The Strain is a decent show, wouldn't have even known about it if not this thread and nico's post.
Anyone watch Drunk History, that show is ****ing hilarious. =)
I watched a show called Who Do You Think You Are ( Au version) because it had Jacki Weaver's story on.
I love her and enjoyed her families story, it was sad and I cried several times during it.
