^ ID card would help for sure... Ah wait I forgot you don't have any in UK ;)
Seriously, how do you live there? I need my ID card even in a train , and it's so much more comfortable than the passport. You can use it for example when you travel in EU.
For the upteenth time I don't feel like going to the grocery store or sitting down at a restaurant. I'm hungry and I want something healthy to eat. Am I alone in wishing there were a fastfood chain that dealt exclusively in healthy food?
Just call a sushi restaurant and ask for deliver. It's healthy food.
You need to stock up on Thai Pei - frozen meals that taste pretty damn good for a microwavable meal. I recommend Cashew Chicken. This is what I eat when I don't feel like doing anything. If you're a big guy like me, you'll probably eat two at a time.Quote:

Nope. No thank you. If she cooks me dinner tonight she'll use that as leverage to guilt trip me tomorrow. I know how you women work.
Wow, I think that happened like...2 years ago.Quote:

For what it's worth, I appreciate the apology.
On another note, the company I just started working for is already giving me days off.
Not enough work.
This really sucks with the holidays coming.
But it gives me incentive to keep looking, and hopefully fulfill the goals set for me by the Union boys.
Ooo you got that wrong. I cook for my honey because I love to cook yummy stuff and see him happy.Quote:

Since its been cold I've been in the cooking spirit. I made some enchiladas and tacos and zuppa tuscano and chicken wings. We be feastin up in here.
I'm burnt out on school. I need more time to focus on my electronic projects. I feel that school is actually preventing me from improving my intellectual self by forcing me to waste my time on schoolwork. When I came to college, I was hoping that it would be more about integrity, responsibility, and critical thought. After 3.5 years, it seems more like the opposite. I can't believe that even in senior-level courses, attendance is being recorded and factored into your grade. Daily homework assignments reminds me of high school. That's it, college is the new high school. Come and get your bachelor degree, while high school is rendered worthless! Can't wait till I ****in' graduate. I should have just kept my job as a server technician after high school.
i felt that way toward the end too. the attendance thing is such bullshit. you pay hundreds of dollars for a class and they get to tell you how often you can miss class.
now that i've been out a few years i can look back on all the things i learned and build on them without going through all the bullshit.
i was so burnt out on school by the time i was done. my counsellor tried telling me i needed two more classes to finish. i was about to just ditch the whole thing. he made a mistake and i graduated thankfully. i wanted to blow up that campus.
also the tuition increases every semester paying for the university president to live in the lap of luxury irritated the fkuc out of me.
Here in Germany, I could stay whole semester at home since there isn't attendance check on any of my main classes. Just on my spanish course LOL . On top of it, they upload scripts for every class, they are so detailed that ,for some classes you don't even need to buy or rent a book to pass the exam . I quite like german system, they aren't very expensive, they leave you a free choice (hey it's your own future, if you think that you don't need to listen to the professor to pass the exam, you can stay home) and still to graduate on a german university means something.
yeah, no attendance requirements for my courses either. But I go, otherwise you fail.
I feel the opposite about my course. I'm extremely engaged. But law's a bit different. Most of this stuff I'm learning is essential for my career. Being thorough now will help me become a good lawyer. My last degree I just dicked around, pretty much.
Yeah the thing is, you go even if no one is forcing you. That's kind of a selection .People who don't give a crap are left behind.
But yeah, if university would "force" me to go to the courses, I would feel like at school again for sure.
The attendance thing really pisses me off, so does graded homework. If I can ace my tests without showing up or doing homework I deserve to pass. That shouldn't be possible if the class is run properly, of course. We're all adults in college, though, and we're all paying an awful lot of money. Don't dictate rules to me. On the other hand, when tthe professor doesn't show up to class or provide a substitute, he should be reprimanded severely.
