Okay, I was just fishing for an excuse to post that.
I've been trying to avoid cleaning for about a week. Successfully. But I am SO BORED today, I'm going to deep clean the hell out of my apartment for the next 3-4 hours. Shall reward myself with a combination of coffee and beer.
I'm also very likely to drunk text this girl. Boom.
Dude, not cool. Turn off your phone and don't drunk text.
Now get busy with the scrubbin's.
i just spent 3 hours cleaning my place, then cooking, then eating. that was fun!Quote:

My neighbor from downstairs just came up and complained because I was doing laundry. It's not my ****ing fault if you can hear the shit from my apartment.
She is claiming that, all of a sudden, for the past 4 months I've been here she can hear everything I do and there's "quiet time" after 10 in the building. It's mother ****ing condos and I work in ****ing restaurants, are you kidding me? My "loud" footsteps? I'm about as quiet a walker as it gets. And she said when I OPENED MY WINDOW it woke up her dog (which she isnt supposed to have) and that's why she came and knocked on my door at 12:30 in the ****ing morning.
I'm really thinking about jumping around for about 3 hours and then if she comes up again telling her I'm going to call the ****ing cops if she harasses me again, just to piss her off. **** you, lady.
Calling the chick I rent from tomorrow to complain. Quiet time after 10:00, is this ****ing middle school? OPENING MY WINDOW WOKE HER DOG UP!?
I want that cave!Quote:

1 Kudos for turning off the phone
2 I share your pain with the passive aggressive tenants. I would have just calmly told her, "I'm not the charming architect who designed this lovely building, so your issue is not with me. I pay just as much as you do to live here, and while I consider myself a rather quiet individual, I can slam my windows and stomp around all I want. If this has been an issue, you should have let me known sometime during the four months I've been here, but frankly, because of your attitude, I don't give a flying **** about you or your dog. Next time you have an issue with someone, command a certain level of respect, and MAYBE, just maybe, you might get your way. Instead, I'm going to be even louder than ever before, so you might want to invest in some ear plugs or sound-proof your ceiling."
I used to have a sub-level apartment in a three story complex, and my bedroom having been right next to the stairwell, I heard everybody going up and down the stairs. Occasionally I heard people upstairs, but only when they were really loud, and when I had a problem with them, I always respectfully asked them to keep it down. Her attitude was just completely unwarranted, it doesn't matter how irritated she's been.
What I told her was basically, and I'm a very polite and nice person to strangers, "I'm very sorry, the laundry I will put off until day hours. The rest, I'm afraid, is not really my problem. I'm very quiet. No TV, no stomping around, rarely someone even over. Your dog waking up is not my problem, I will open my window all I like. This could have been brought up better, considering this is the first lick I've heard since I've been here. I'll try to be quiet. Have a nice night."Quote:

Considering my renter recently told me the other tenants had said I was the best renter here and completely quiet, it's a huge shock. If she comes up again, I won't be as nice.
I'm curious to hear what your renter has to say about this.
She's FURIOUS people have dogs here now so probably not very sympathetic to this lady's pooch being awoken.Quote:

So you have an apartment? You aren't renting a room in a house or something? Is the washing machine in your apartment or is it located elsewhere? Quite honestly if you have your own washer and dryer in your own private apartment you shouldn't give a flying **** if she can hear it or not.
You know, people are always going on about staying cool, keeping your words in check, etc, etc, etc. Which is bullshit. You tell that lady off for knocking on your door in the middle of the night and she'll never bother you again. Let her know that you'll do your laundry any goddamn time you please, you'll open your window, and, if you feel like it, you'll do a ****ing tango at three in the morning. If she's got a problem with that she can stuff her ears with her own shit or move out.
It's in my apartment. I mean, look, I can do whatever the **** I want in my apartment. I wasn't gunna yell at her, not the first time. If I ever ****ing hear a thing from her again, yeah, but I played nice for now. I dunno.Quote:
