Interesting. For all of human history, bar the past 70 years, a man was expected to be self sufficient at 20-22ish (which is two years younger than myself) and raising a family in a secure and stable environment.Quote:

Are you claiming that all men of the previous eras of human history were pompous pricks?
There's something wrong with 21st Century culture is we're all getting married and starting our families when our woman is approaching the END of her fertility. I want my son to turn 21 before I turn 50. Fair?
And to the other person, no, as you guessed, I am not stupid enough to suggest marriage on a second date. However, that does not mean they are stupid and incapable of "sensing" that I am seeking far more than a ****-buddy relationship.
I honestly wish I was born 70+ years ago.
However, if women in my generation are seeking "losers" to EXPRESSLY avoid such a committment (children/marriage) than I, the winner, cannot compete with the losers. The losers are in fact the WINNERS in my generation, as I have guessed; so thank you for making it clear to me that Western culture has indeed inverted the natural order. The Alpha is the lowest on the totem pole and Betas have ensnared the globe.
Enjoy leeching my paycheck, can't wait til SHTF.
You just dont get it. 18-24 year old girls arent concerned with marriage, homes, clarinets and math. They want fun, excitement, sweet and caring....non of which you seem to be.
Dont get ahead of yourself.....youre still just a kid. Youve proven it by your actions and words in this thread
BTW.....a women's fertility peaks at 30. I can't believe you are comparing modern life to 1950s American ....that's hilarious
It is fair, actually.Quote:

Target your market, how about?

What about the idea that alpha/beta distinction is hormonal and has nothing to do with your possessions?Quote:

Overgeneralize much? Perhaps the reason for your lack of success is you put off intelligent women with your pre-judging attitude.Quote:

Just a thought.
I think that you're just feeling hurt and you're going through an ego phase at the moment. We all do sometimes. You just need to change your perspective on things maybe. A year without a romantic partner is very normal in every person's life, either actively seeking someone or not. Then it's not that you haven't been able to meet girls at all these last 12 months, it's just that you haven't met the right girl for you and this is again more normal than you think. Most people need a few years to meet the right person, so just because you happened to have three successful long term relatioships before one after another one, it doesn't mean that it is the norm :-)
Keep enjoying who you are, your life, and at the right time you'll also find the right woman for you. Becoming bitter, judgemental and vindicative won't do you any good and that's not who you are anyway, so just try to detach a little bit, exercise your qualities, not your weak points (which we all have), learn to dismiss your ego that makes you feel and think that you're going through some kind of big drama (when you're not) and regain your balance. The rest will come :-)
LOL no, that is not what makes you a pompous prick.Quote:

We are simply extending our lifetimes. In a future not too far from today, the peak of fertility will gradually shift forward in a human's life... it has started already. Do it for the human race!
30 isn't the end of fertility.Quote:

Quite honestly, most people under 30 aren't ready to marry and start having babies. That's why the divorce rate is so high. Better to wait and have a marriage that has a better chance of lasting.
Also, the days of large families are waning, except in religious communities. It costs a LOT to have children, especially if you consider it your responsibility to educate them. Are you religious?
THis is when I would redirect the thread to a political discussion concerning dual inflation via taxation (155 taxes on a loaf of bread) and printing money. BOth are these are directly due to the parasitical Beta Male socialist takeover.Quote:

I don't care about your politics. This is a matter of practicality. Most people consider it their responsibility to educate their offspring, which costs a LOT of money. It won't be enough to simply own a house or have a good job or a car; you will need savings. This is probably why a lot of younger people abstain from having babies in their 20s, except in religious communities where birth control is frowned upon, and where repopulating the earth with more religious devotees is a primary life purpose. This is why I ask if you are religious - the girls start young and have a ton of babies. Maybe that is where you will find your mate?

This is what I meant by: "target your market", OP.Quote:

Of course it is. Haven't you seen how the divorce rates drop if you marry at the age of 30 or older? It's easy to google.Quote:

No, you have ascribed a causality to a correlation which is a logical mistake. I'll remind you that you said it's because "most people under 30 aren't ready" which is simply one interpretation.Quote:

Kudos to you for identifying a correlation, though. It's probably got some merit however I wouldn't purport it as a fact because that's utterly foolish.
